Leadership Philosophy & Leadership teams
In the way we run our community we are a little unusual. We have no full-time staff or clergy. We are a lay church. We also do not have a conventional building, sanctuary or office block. We all work from our homes. Each member of the Leadership is self-supporting, giving to the community any free time they have. This means we are able to put our resources into people rather than salaries, buildings and full time staff.
But we are also unusual in the way we select our leadership. They used to be voted in democratically on the basis of popularity, but we now nominate them on the basis of natural and spiritual gifting.
To make life easier for us all we break down the running of the community into a number of
teams, one of which are the elders. Together we run the community.
Other Church Ministries
Also, we have a range of ministries through the church and the
Life Giving Trust. Some of these are based here in the UK, others in countries like Egypt, Turkey, Germany, the USA and Rwanda.
